Manuela Ulivi is the head of the Family \u2013 Child Law Department at BCM LAW. She is a graduate of the University of Milan and has been registered with the Milan Bar Association since 1990. Manuela deals mainly with litigation concerning families and children, a subject on which she has written and published extensively. She has gained a wealth of experience in areas related to domestic violence and problems between couples, as a result of which she has participated as a speaker at numerous conferences on topics related to child and family law. She has investigated various aspects in the development of legislation and jurisprudence related to her specialist areas. From the family law reform in 1975 to the topic of parental responsibility, with a particular focus on the law on shared custody (54\/2006). Manuela contributed to the drafting of the text of Law no. 154 of 2001 concerning protective orders in cases of domestic violence. Owing to the skills acquired in this area, she has taken part in hearings of the Law Commissions, the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate on various legislative proposals, including Law 69\/2019 concerning femicide. She was part of the scientific committee concerned with the training of lawyers on the topics of the Istanbul Convention on combatting and preventing violence against women, organised by the Lombardy Region with the Bar Association in Milan. Manuela works with the University of Milan – Department of Constitutional Law, lecturing on the topics of human rights and domestic violence. She is a member of the scientific committee at the jurisprudence observatory set up by the aforesaid Department. She has lectured on family law and domestic violence on all the master’s degree programmes organised by the Department of Human Sciences at the Bicocca University in Milan. <\/p>\n
